IFUT held a special event on 14th March 2019 to commemorate major advances in the area of gender equality for academics over the past year.

Following discussions between IFUT and SIPTU a joint agreement has been reached on representation of staff in Dublin City University (DCU).

My story began on the 19thof December 2015.  It ended on the 7th November 2018 when the General Secretary of IFUT, Joan Donegan, phoned me to say the Adjudicator had ruled in my favour.  Maynooth University had discriminated against me under the Employment Equality Acts.&

IFUT have been receiving queries regarding the extension of the compulsory retirement age to 70, as a result of the Public Service Superannuation (Age of Retirement) Act 2018, which came into effect from 26 December 2018.

Back in 2012, at the height of the International Recession, the United Nations declared an International Day of Happiness - March 20th - and called on all countries to approach public policies in ways that improve well-being.
